More About Amani
Amani Children Home (A.C.H) was founded in 7th Jan 2020. It begun as a feeding programme for the elderly, vulnerable and their kids in Gioto Hilton Nakuru county. Having done this for a year, in 2019 through what would Jesus do conviction I and my family identified very needy cases who seldom went to school because of lack of education finance and broken down family setup. These compelled us to start a home, so that like the humming bird story of The Late Professor Wangari Mathai, we could stop this menace and be a voice for the kids who had no advocate. Our Children Are Amani’s Future.
One of the greatest weaknesses in these global orphan estimates is that they include only orphans who are currently living in homes.Lets the world work together to empower and champion children’s rights, education and future. Amani Children Home was started with 2 kids but over time we have grown our intake to a group of 30 kids; 18girls and 12boys all from Gioto Hilton which is a slum in the dumb site of Nakuru city. We are doing the best we can by God’s able power. We help raise a generation that is responsible being an orphan myself this touched me so much, I cannot imagine if this happened in my early years.
We Believe In Children’s Future.
Amani has the capacity to support ~30 children at a given time. Our work brings physical and physiological healing for these children and helps heal the broader community. Amani supports children in connecting with relatives and mentors outside the center. This community engagement creates networks of advocacy for these children. We also offer educational seminars to family members. There focus on preventing and identifying abuse, supporting healthy relationships, and protecting child welfare..
